ZeroStack On-Premises Software Overview

ZeroStack software includes software-defined storage, built-in KVM hypervisor, software-defined networking (SDN) and a self-healing management control plane. The management control plane is highly available, controller-less, with no single point of failure. It uses distributed computing principles to construct a self-healing system that works with the cloud management system to provide fully integrated monitoring and operations. Customers can start with a 3 node cluster and scale to a large number based on demand.

Three Ways To Get Hardware

1) ZeroStack Delivered: Z-Block Turnkey Hyper-converged Appliance
The Z-Block Cloud Appliance delivers a ‘cloud-in-a-box’ that includes hypervisors, compute, storage, networking and management software. In a 2U enclosure with four server nodes, each Z-Block can be customized to have a total of 64 to 128 CPU cores, 512 to 1024 GB RAM, and 22 to 96 TB storage (SSD & HDD).

2) Partner Delivered: Hyper-converged Hardware from Dell, HPE, Cisco, SuperMicro
Customers can utilize validated models of Dell, HPE, Cisco UCS and SuperMicro hardware from their preferred VAR or Managed Services Provider (MSP). For specific details contact us or a ZeroStack channel partner.

3) Bring Your Own Hardware (BYOH)
Customers can also deploy ZeroStack on supported models of pre-existing hardware and convert it into a self-service cloud. For specific details contact ZeroStack with your hardware configuration.

External Storage Support

Customers can also utilize external storage arrays from most storage vendors including EMC, NetApp, Nimble Storage, Pure Storage, SolidFire and others.
