ZeroStack Named a 2016 “Cool Vendor” in Cloud Infrastructure
Company Selected by Leading Analyst Firm for Innovative Technology
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – May 3, 2016 – ZeroStack, a pioneer in self-service and scale-out private cloud, today announced that it has been selected as a 2016 “Cool Vendor” in Cloud Infrastructure by Gartner. ZeroStack is one of three vendors featured in the report.
“We feel being named a “Cool Vendor” in Cloud Infrastructure by Gartner is an honor,” said Ajay Gulati, co-founder and CEO of ZeroStack. “Further, we believe this recognition validates the demand for a simple, elegant, low-cost private cloud solution that eliminates the complexity of building and managing a private cloud while providing visibility, control and high performance.”
ZeroStack was founded in 2014 to deliver a private cloud for enterprises that do not want to build it themselves. The ZeroStack team has expertise in virtualization, storage, networking, distributed systems, management platforms and DevOps.
Announced as generally available in March, the ZeroStack Cloud Platform provides a new model for delivering private clouds that offer the ease-of-use of a public cloud, coupled with complete control and security. This new cloud model consists of ultra-converged ZeroStack Cloud Building Blocks that integrate compute, clustered storage, software-defined networking (SDN) and management software running as part of a highly resilient control plane.
The on-premises infrastructure is consumed and managed by the innovative ZeroStack Cloud Portal, which provides self-service for developers, analytics-based insights and capacity planning for administrators and several optimizations for cloud native and enterprise application deployment.
ZeroStack also offers a novel app store for quick deployments of complex, multi-tiered applications. It also provides application portability from other private or public clouds.
